As I’ve told many people, I don’t do weddings. Unless of course, a photographer friend begs me repeatedly to be 2nd shooter at one, in which case, I just might cave and shoot a wedding. This is my first wedding shoot, so critics please take note and share your opinions in the comments.
Technical: I shot with a Nikon D90, kit lens, 50mm 1.8, 35mm 1.8, 70-200 2.8, Tokina 11-16 2.8, and SB600 flash w/add-on diffuser. I switched back and forth between Program-AutoISO and AperturePriority-AutoISO, with the occasional shot in full manual for trickier lighting situations.

Pennsylvania is rife with farmland and it follows that there would be large conferences, sales, and shows for all those farmers to get together. January of 2010 saw me wandering the massive halls of the Farmshow Complex in Harrisburg, PA. Stunning variety of equipment and and even more amazing variety of food from the vendors in the food court! Click the link below to go full-screen and see for yourself what it was all about.
Working with a local mission-agency, we often send passports down to a foreign embassy in Washington DC. This time there was a rush and Fed-Ex wasn’t quite fast enough, so a friend and I went down to take care of that paperwork and made a day of it while we were at it. It was my first time in our nation’s capitol and a wonderful experience.
July of 2009 saw me helping out with the audio visual and broadcasting department of the annual community tent meetings hosted by local Anabaptist churches in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. These are a few snapshots from that event.
My sister and I were privileged to take a walking tour through America’s most historic square mile in downtown Philadelphia, PA. We ate genuine Philadelphia cheese steaks from a street vendor, saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and many other historically significant sites and just enjoyed a wonderful day together on her recent trip out from WA.
In the spring of 2009, I traveled with a friend for 8 days through the country of Guatemala. It is a beautiful country though there are many reminders of the recent conflict there. Click the link below for a full-screen gallery of images I took there.
My brother and I went to the Abbotsford Airshow today in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. Click the graphic below to view the full-screen gallery of images.
In July of 2008, my family and I visited Seattle Washington’s Museum of Flight. It is a large museum containing most of the history of the last century of inventions in the field of aerospace.
